Starting from Hopton Bank in Kidderminster, you’ll head towards Ludlow Road in Ludlow, setting the tone for your epic ride through the Shropshire Hills. As you continue towards Clun Road in Craven Arms, you can visit the historic Stokesay Castle, a remarkable 13th-century fortified manor house that will transport you back to medieval times.
Next, buckle up for a ride through the rolling hills along the A488, en route to Bishops Castle. This vibrant market town is well worth a visit, with its charming streets, quirky independent shops, and the enchanting ruins of the 12th-century Bishops Castle itself.
From Bishops Castle, the A488 will lead you to Shrewsbury, a historic and vibrant town that boasts the stunning Shrewsbury Castle and the beautiful Quarry Park, perfect for a leisurely stroll or a picnic by the river.
But the adventure doesn’t end there! You’ll reach the majestic Long Mynd in Church Stretton, a breathtaking expanse of heather-covered hills that offers panoramic views, fantastic walking trails, and the opportunity to spot wildlife in its natural habitat.
As you proceed to Hazler Crescent in Church Stretton, be sure to explore Carding Mill Valley, a haven for walkers and nature enthusiasts alike.
Continuing on, your journey takes you to the charming market town of Bridgnorth. Bridgnorth is split into High Town and Low Town, connected by the historic Cliff Railway. Here, you can explore the fascinating Bridgnorth Castle ruins and the beautiful Severn Valley Railway, which offers a nostalgic steam train journey through the picturesque countryside.
Finally, you’ll arrive at DY14 0QJ in Kidderminster, concluding your odyssey through the magical Shropshire Hills. This incredible motorcycle journey, with its diverse and enchanting stops, will leave you with unforgettable memories of the British countryside at its finest.
